Office Hours
Jan. 2nd, 2014 07:04 pmDeb finished setting up the holographic art in her office. Most shrinks went for relaxing things and while there was science to support that flowers made humans feel better, when working with a multi-species crew, Deb always found pictures of space worked well. Just over her desk she had a large picture of her family, a very old one from before her academy days with her aged parents and her siblings, smiling and happy.
Her parents would be happy that she was a doctor, but she always wondered what they'd think of her career file and all the bad marks in it. Her eldest brother who was still barely hanging on to the world of the living always assured her it wouldn't matter, as long as she was good at what she did, so Deb held on to that.
"Alright," she said, cracking her knuckles and sitting down in the small office's desk, "Time to get this show on the road."
